VISIT OF INDIAN YOUTH DELEGATION TO CHINA 
(03-10 July 2018)

As part of the annual India-China Youth Exchange programme, a 200-member Indian Youth Delegation is visiting China from 03-10 July 2018. The delegation comprising of students, researchers, youth leaders and young achievers are visiting various Chinese cities including Beijing, Wuhan, Kunming, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

2. Embassy of India hosted a welcome reception for the visiting delegation on 05 July 2018 in Beijing. In his speech, Ambassador of India to China, Mr. Gautam Bambawale while covering all aspects of India-China bilateral relations, emphasized on strengthening people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Ambassador pointed out that through annual youth exchange programme, the governments of India and China intend to provide opportunities to their youth to mutually understand each other better.

3. During their stay in China, the delegation will get a wide opportunity to experience various facets of China’s economy, society and culture through company visits, tours, lectures etc. They would gain a first hand knowledge about China with the help of close interaction with experts and practitioners from various fields including industry, education, sports, science and technology, urban planning, agriculture and health.

4. India and China have implemented the annual youth exchange programme since 2006-07. In year 2017, the delegation had visited Beijing, Hefei, Changsha, Guangzhou and Shanghai from 09-17 June.
